When the Red Sox won the series I thought, 'how could this be?' my team never wins. Here I am, far from my country feeling, dare I say, an unfamiliar and utterly disorientating sense of pride and reassurance. The people spoke and in one brilliant democratic moment, changed the course of history. It's a start at what we all hope will be more than a symbolic gesture but rather a genuine commitment to righting wrongs and healing the harms that have been done in the name of the United States.
